Bulletin 35
December was a fantastic month for Chub on the Towpath Fishery especially at Broxbourne.
Anglers fishing at Broxbourne were bagging up with Chub this month fishing the waggler with casters or red maggots. One angler managed 6 Chub all around the 6lb mark with one fish going a magnificent 7lb15oz.
Lots of anglers on the bank this month fishing for the Pike and Perch, Broxbourne was a good place to be for them with plenty of fish being caught during the last hour of light. Perch to 3lb8oz were caught on lures and Pike to 15lb7oz caught on dead baits.
Ware town centre was also a hot spot for Pike and Perch this month with Perch to 3lb2oz coming out on lures and Pike at 10lb, 11lb4oz and 12lb4oz being caught on dead baits and lures by the Library car park, Again like Broxbourne the best time to fish for the Pike and Perch was the last hour or so before dark.
Anglers fishing Feildes Weir for the Carp were rewarded with a nice 22lb Common fishing the boilie and also picked up some very nice Bream up to 12lb plus.
Tight lines.
Happy New Year
